Assembly Technician

About the role

As an Assembly Technician you will join Hitachi Energy’s manufacturing site in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will work on assembling, testing and repairing GIS units and related components, ensuring they meet quality, cost and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfill order‑related work packages using production data and foreman instructions.
• Perform assembly and repair activities according to work instructions, drawings, bill of materials and checklists.
• Conduct routine testing of assembled GIS units, components and modules.
• Self‑check results, complete checklists and protocols, and report any irregularities.
• Support product improvement feedback collection from local service engineers.
• Maintain and calibrate factory equipment and tools.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental and housekeeping guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean culture initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in a production environment involving assembly and testing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material lists.
• Understanding of Lean concepts and waste reduction.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
