Body Shop Engineer

About the role

The Body Shop Engineer is responsible for overseeing equipment, quality, manpower, and material activities within the vehicle body shop. The role ensures smooth line operations, supports new project launches, and drives continuous improvement of equipment performance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage manpower, improve line conditions, and boost worker efficiency.
• Coordinate new projects, including try‑outs, SOP development, and stabilization.
• Train local staff, review training manuals, and develop training plans.
• Verify production processes, supervise installation of factory equipment (jigs, robots, hoists, transfer systems, sealing machines, etc.), and review equipment drawings for corrective actions.
• Ensure safety compliance during factory construction and address equipment problems with effective countermeasures.
• Handle customer quality claims, resolve quality shortages, and develop corrective actions.
• Review supply plans for local vendors, compare bid costs, procure sub‑materials, and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Preferably 3+ years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
