Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead all financial and accounting activities for Awraad Hotel in Jeddah. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and provides strategic insights to support the hotel’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash‑flow reports.
• Monitor internal controls, accounting standards, and local tax requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, internal departments, and external partners.
• Support cost‑control initiatives and revenue analysis.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, audit processes, and local tax regulations.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising an accounting team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA or equivalent is a plus.
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
