Co-op Trainee – Mining Operations

About the role

The Mining Co‑op Trainee program offers a hands‑on introduction to core mining operations. Over the course of the placement, the trainee will rotate through safety induction, on‑the‑job training, and reporting activities to build a solid foundation in a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend general safety induction and mine‑specific safety training sessions.
• Follow all HSE policies, procedures and site safety rules, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Prepare weekly learning summaries or short presentations to document progress.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training sessions and incorporate supervisor feedback.
• Complete assigned training tasks and undergo a final evaluation.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn basic mining workflows and production processes.
• Commitment to adhere to safety requirements and use PPE correctly.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate progress.
