Compliance Officer – Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Compliance Officer will join Citi's Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team in Saudi Arabia. You will help design, develop and maintain compliance programs, policies and procedures that protect the firm from regulatory breaches and align with Citi’s risk appetite. The role works closely with senior staff and cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent application of the compliance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in designing and delivering best‑in‑class compliance programs for ICRM.
• Review materials to verify compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
• Identify potential compliance risks and escalate them for further review.
• Maintain control reports, tracking logs and ensure secure document retention.
• Support investigations of compliance risk issues and prepare routine correspondence.
• Collaborate with other ICRM areas and Citi business units as needed.
• Help manage regulatory inventory, change‑management processes and exam logistics.
• Prepare, edit and maintain compliance program documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, always safeguarding Citi’s reputation and assets.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively at all organizational levels.
• Project management and organizational skills capable of handling multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree and experience in a financial services firm, regulatory organization, legal or consulting environment.
• Basic knowledge of compliance laws, regulations, risks and typologies.
