Driver Technician – Environmental

About the role

The Driver Technician – Environmental supports on‑site water quality monitoring by combining field sampling duties with safe transportation of personnel, equipment and samples. This position works closely with senior staff to ensure accurate environmental data collection across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect water samples (drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, process water) following approved procedures, SOPs and standards.
• Maintain sample integrity through proper preservation, labeling and chain‑of‑custody documentation.
• Operate, handle and maintain sampling equipment and field instruments.
• Drive to client sites, transporting personnel, equipment and samples safely and efficiently.
• Assist senior staff during field measurements, site surveys and monitoring campaigns.
• Maintain field records, log sheets and sampling documentation.
• Support routine housekeeping, equipment care and basic troubleshooting.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Department Head related to chemistry and environmental monitoring.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or Environmental studies.
• 1–2 years of experience in water sampling, environmental field monitoring, or laboratory/field support (fresh graduates with relevant education may be considered).
• Valid driving licence (mandatory).
• Willingness to travel to various field locations and work extended hours when required.
