Engineer - Architecture

About the role

AECOM is seeking a detail‑oriented Engineer – Architecture to join its Makkah office. You will contribute to large‑scale urban master‑plan and high‑rise development projects, working closely with senior architects and multidisciplinary design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural and engineering calculations to support design development and feasibility assessments for complex high‑rise and urban master‑plan components.
• Prepare, review, and approve detailed drawings, specifications, reports, and technical data tables in line with project standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate technical design activities across structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Maintain liaison with design, drafting, and project management groups to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
• Execute advanced technical assignments within approved schedules and budgets.
• Analyze design requirements and propose innovative, cost‑effective solutions that balance functionality and aesthetics.
• Support comprehensive project documentation and ensure technical accuracy throughout the design process.
• Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating architectural and design personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 + years of professional experience in architectural engineering.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of high‑rise building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience delivering large‑scale urban master‑plan projects.
