English Language & Literature Teacher (IB) – Jeddah

About the role

ASQ International is seeking a dedicated English Language and Literature teacher to join its IB World School in Jeddah. The successful candidate will inspire secondary‑level students, nurture a love of reading and writing, and prepare them for both local examinations and global university pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme.
• Prepare students for examinations while developing critical thinking, communication, and cultural awareness.
• Organise literary projects, debates, drama productions and other extracurricular activities that deepen engagement with texts.
• Design innovative, student‑centred lessons that balance textual analysis, writing skills and collaborative learning.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Degree in English Language/Literature with a PGCE and/or QTS.
• Proven experience teaching English Language and Literature at secondary level; IB DP experience preferred.
• Track record of leading literary projects, debates, drama or similar extracurricular initiatives.
• Ability to inspire creativity, critical thinking and a passion for reading.
• Adaptable to a multicultural environment and committed to inclusive, student‑centred teaching practices.
