Head Teacher – Biology & Chemistry (American Curriculum)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Teacher to design and lead the Biology & Chemistry programmes for a new American high school in Saudi Arabia. This senior position will shape curriculum, train teachers, and deliver one online class while operating within a hybrid learning model.

Key responsibilities

• Design Grade 9‑10 Biology & Chemistry curricula, including units, lesson plans, assessments and homework for a hybrid platform.
• Lead, train and support a team of Biology & Chemistry teachers.
• Deliver one online section of Biology or Chemistry, aligning instruction with curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Continuously adapt and improve lessons using EdTech and digital tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine curriculum, delivery methods and learning journeys.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing International American high‑school science curricula aligned to CCSS and NGSS.
• Proven experience teaching science to English‑as‑a‑second‑language learners.
• Recognised teaching qualification (BA/MA in subject area, TESOL, CELTA, etc.).
• Native English speaker with reliable internet and professional video setup.
• Availability to work full‑time Sunday‑Thursday (GMT+3), with possible flexible half‑day arrangements.
