Process Engineer – Power Transformer

About the role

The Process Engineer – Power Transformer will lead the development, optimisation and control of manufacturing processes for power transformers, ensuring high production efficiency, product quality and compliance with technical and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise transformer manufacturing processes covering core, winding, insulation, assembly and testing.
• Prepare, update and maintain SOPs, process flow charts and work instructions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot production process issues.
• Coordinate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of products.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/ANSI standards and internal quality requirements.
• Support root cause analysis, CAPA activities and internal audits.
• Maintain process documentation, routing sheets and ERP/MES process data.
• Lead continuous‑improvement, Lean, Six Sigma and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Analyse production data to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with quality, procurement, maintenance and production teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment production.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
