About the role
The Purchasing Manager leads all procurement activities for fleet operations, ensuring the timely acquisition of spare parts, vehicles, materials, and services across multiple regions. The role balances cost efficiency, quality standards, and supply‑chain optimisation while supervising a distributed team of purchasing representatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual procurement plans aligned with fleet operational needs.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and coach purchasing representatives in all regions.
- Source and negotiate competitive contracts for spare parts, materials, and services, both locally and internationally.
- Validate purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage supplier contracts and renewals.
- Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, and maintenance teams to guarantee material availability.
- Prepare market analysis reports, procurement budgets, and periodic performance reports for senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Required profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in automotive or fleet environments.
- Proven experience managing multi‑site procurement teams.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle spare parts for light and heavy vehicles.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
