Restaurant Shift Leader

About the role

The Shift Leader (Front of House) ensures that the restaurant operates smoothly, delivering a consistent brand experience to guests. You will supervise daily operations, maintain food safety standards, and lead a team to provide fast, friendly service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the outlet for service, both indoor and outdoor areas, before each shift.
• Maintain salad‑bar layout, stock quality, and ingredient shelf‑life according to standards.
• Monitor storage zones and ensure compliance with zoning and hygiene rules.
• Complete operating checklists, report deviations, and correct issues promptly.
• Oversee cashier activities, perform spot‑checks, and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Guide production to meet time, portion, and presentation standards, taking corrective action when needed.
• Assign stations, monitor employee performance, and report any shortcomings.
• Engage with customers, resolve complaints, and ensure an impeccable guest experience.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as required.
• Lead cleaning and deep‑cleaning processes on schedule.
• Motivate the team, lead by example, and drive peak performance.
• Finalize cash closing, generate reports, and address any variances.
• Participate in onboarding and soft‑training of new staff.
• Report and escalate incidents, taking appropriate action when possible.

Required profile

• Proven experience in front‑of‑house restaurant operations.
• Strong leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail for hygiene, food safety, and cash handling.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining service speed and quality.
• Effective communication skills for customer interaction and staff coordination.
