About the role

The Head of Asset Unit will lead the management, optimisation and strategic development of AlBalad AlAmeen’s extensive asset portfolio. Based in Mecca, this full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior leadership and works closely with finance, legal, project and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee asset planning, classification, valuation and documentation.
• Develop and implement asset‑management policies, control frameworks and risk‑compliance procedures.
• Monitor asset performance, prepare regular reports and support investment, disposal and partnership decisions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives to align asset strategies with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, setting objectives and ensuring high standards of governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in asset management, real estate or infrastructure portfolios, preferably in urban development or the public sector.
• Strong background in asset valuation, financial analysis and portfolio optimisation.
• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, Urban Planning or related field; master’s degree or certifications (RICS, CFA, PMP) is a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of local regulations, municipal frameworks and the economic context of Mecca.

Required skills

• High proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with asset‑management or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with data and reporting tools.
