Supply Planning Lead

About the role

The Supply Planning Lead will oversee the production of final products and ensure product availability to meet sales demand. Reporting to senior management, the role combines team leadership, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimisation within Valvoline’s operations in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the supply planning team, monitoring performance and providing feedback.
• Develop and maintain long‑term and short‑term supply plans, including yearly, monthly and weekly production schedules.
• Analyse sales forecasts, collaborate with sales to improve forecast accuracy and translate demand into production plans.
• Implement strategies to optimise supply chain processes, reduce costs and improve reliability.
• Act as liaison between departments to resolve issues and enhance cross‑functional collaboration.
• Adapt the supply process to the specific business model in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Ensure supplier capability aligns with production plans and maintain business continuity for material supply.
• Monitor material and finished‑goods costs, enforce budgeted pricing and control working capital.
• Define Make‑to‑Stock (MTS) and Make‑to‑Order (MTO) SKUs, set stock levels to meet demand while minimising slow‑moving inventory.
• Work with materials planning suppliers to secure required materials and improve resource utilisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading supply planning or production planning teams.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in sales forecasting and demand planning.
• Knowledge of MTS and MTO inventory strategies and stock level optimisation.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure material availability.
• Experience in cost monitoring, budgeting and working capital control.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with a focus on supply chain efficiency.
