Terminal Systems Lead – Airport & Aviation

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Terminal Systems Lead to act as the technical authority for engineering, integration, testing, and operational compliance of terminal operational systems within a major airport Master Systems Integration programme. The role combines deep aviation technology expertise with leadership of complex system integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as subject‑matter expert and technical lead for terminal operational systems (AODB, FIDS, RMS, AOCC, FLIRT, SPS, ATCMS, DMS, PAVA, etc.).
• Manage technical scope, system specifications, performance requirements and architecture coordination.
• Lead technical reviews of design submissions, engineering deliverables, shop drawings and vendor documentation.
• Develop and review Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure seamless integration across ICT, operational technologies, airline systems and third‑party platforms.
• Define and validate FAT, SAT, integrated testing, operational validation and commissioning acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with airport operators, airlines, ICT teams, EPC contractors, technology vendors, ORAT workstreams and specialist consultants to resolve interface issues.
• Monitor compliance with IATA standards, airport operating requirements and cybersecurity policies.
• Support troubleshooting, technical issue resolution and risk mitigation during implementation and transition phases.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to systems engineers.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with airport terminal operational systems and aviation technologies.
• Proven ability to lead complex system integration projects in an airport environment.
• Strong knowledge of passenger journey integration and international aviation standards.
• Demonstrated experience in technical scope definition, specifications and architecture coordination.
