WHS Specialist – Health & Safety Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced WHS Specialist to lead Health & Safety initiatives at our delivery station. You will ensure a safe working environment, drive continuous improvement, and support employee wellbeing across a fast‑paced logistics operation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Health & Safety standards and employee wellbeing at the delivery station.
• Collaborate on safety projects across multiple operations sites.
• Provide guidance on safety matters to all stakeholders.
• Review, audit, and continuously improve safety management arrangements.
• Plan and implement risk‑reduction work systems, recommending machinery and process adaptations.
• Maintain robust reporting regimes for safety statistics.
• Develop written safety documentation, tools, and training in English and the local language.
• Supply management with safety information and statistics.
• Support business change through effective change‑management processes.
• Lead behavioral culture change programs in a large, multi‑shift environment.
• Implement Amazon’s global safety policies while meeting local legislative requirements.
• Ensure contractor safety processes are applied.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of workplace health & safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience using Microsoft Word professionally.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality on security or personnel matters.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Kawader certified Level 2 (if applicable).
