Accountant – Construction & Contracting

About the role

Our finance department in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions for our construction and contracting operations. The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with Saudi regulations, and supports month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and post General Ledger transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
• Prepare trial balances and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Manage related‑party transactions in line with company policies.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections follow‑up, and reconciliation.
• Process payroll transactions in compliance with local labor regulations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns according to ZATCA requirements.
• Develop financial reports and dashboards using advanced Excel tools.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors during audit periods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• SOCPA certification.
• 4–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
• Strong command of English; Arabic is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, reporting, data analysis).
• In‑depth knowledge of Saudi VAT regulations and ZATCA compliance.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards.
