Accountant-General

About the role

Marriott International is looking for an Accountant-General to join its finance team in Makkah. The position is full‑time, permanent and based on‑site, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting cash handling operations.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy.
• Organise, secure and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with policies.
• Record, store, access and analyse computerized financial information.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers and computers.
• Prepare, maintain, audit and distribute financial, accounting and payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and reports.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Follow‑up on past‑due accounts and vendor invoices until resolved.
• Prepare daily consolidated cash deposits and document cash variances.
• Administer cashier banks and contracts while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related accounting or finance work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
