Analytics Manager

About the role

The Analytics Manager will transform Gathern’s analytics function from a reporting service into a trusted decision engine that powers faster, evidence‑based decisions across the company. Embedded within the planning cycle, you will own performance measurement, KPI ownership, and data‑backed prioritisation for every function.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a connected KPI framework, assigning owners, certified definitions and clear links to higher‑level metrics.
• Own the analytical side of annual and quarterly planning, building driver‑based models, running scenario simulations and defending assumptions.
• Produce monthly and quarterly performance reports, explaining material variances and recommending actions.
• Set quarterly data‑backed focus areas for each function, track adoption of recommendations and measure impact on KPIs.
• Hire, coach and grow an analyst team, establishing role scorecards, SOPs and demand‑intake processes.

Required profile

• 6–8+ years of analytics experience, including at least 2 years leading analysts.
• Proven experience in a consumer marketplace or two‑sided platform at scale‑up stage.
• Demonstrated ownership of KPI frameworks, planning models and executive‑level performance reviews.
• Strong business acumen, credibility to challenge senior leaders with evidence, and a high bar for accuracy.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL (BigQuery preferred).
• BI tools such as Metabase or similar.
• Forecasting, scenario modelling and variance analysis.
• Design and execution of experiments and post‑launch measurement.
