Architect I (Saudi National) - Riyadh

About the role

Egis, an international architecture, consulting, construction engineering and mobility services group operating in 70 countries, is looking for a Saudi National Architect to join its team in Riyadh. You will create architectural designs that combine functionality, aesthetics and sustainability while taking into account the region's cultural context.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in developing project design tasks assigned by the team leader, from early design through technical design to construction documentation.
• Work under the guidance of the Project Architect, Senior Architect and/or Design Manager, adhering to deadlines and design quality standards.
• Prepare concept designs, project models and graphical presentations, drawings and reports.
• Develop project BIM models and design documents, and collaborate with the BIM coordinator or manager to maintain BIM quality.
• Contribute to design coordination within the Architecture team and work with the Senior Architect or Design Manager on complex design challenges.
• Stay informed on applicable codes, building materials and systems, and plan and use project man-hours efficiently.
• Communicate fluently in spoken and written Arabic, take part in internal meetings and workshops, share knowledge and build a collaborative office environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in architecture.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in architectural design.
• Previous training or co-op experience in architectural design.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in BIM processes, implementation and workflows (a must).
• Knowledge of architectural design principles and building codes.
