Area Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations

About the role

As an Area Manager in a fulfillment center, you will lead a diverse team to ensure operations keep pace with customer demand. You will be responsible for maintaining safety, productivity and quality across multiple shifts while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the area.
• Analyse performance data, implement corrective actions and ensure high quality and productivity.
• Support, coach and lead a large team while handling administrative duties.
• Identify and execute process improvements to optimise work and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes and manage contingency planning.
• Monitor safety standards, process efficiency and address escalations.

Required profile

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Preferred: 1+ years experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
