Asset Management Systems Functional Consultant

About the role

Elia Grid International is seeking an experienced Asset Management Systems Functional Consultant to support electric utility clients in designing, implementing and optimizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions. The role bridges business requirements with system configuration, ensuring reliability, compliance and lifecycle value across generation, transmission and distribution assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering, functional design, configuration and implementation of EAM/APM platforms, acting as a functional SME during projects, upgrades and roll‑outs.
• Conduct As‑Is/To‑Be assessments, gap analysis and process harmonisation workshops, and document end‑to‑end asset management processes such as work management, preventive and condition‑based maintenance, and asset lifecycle planning.
• Support reliability and risk‑based maintenance frameworks (RCM, RBM, FMECA, AHI) and translate risk models into system logic, thresholds and workflows.
• Assist data quality initiatives, master data alignment and governance, and ensure integration of EAM with SCADA, GIS, ERP, Field Service Management and reporting platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• 12‑15+ years of experience delivering EAM/APM implementation projects for electric utilities.
• Strong understanding of utility operations (generation, transmission, distribution) and hands‑on experience with IBM Maximo/IBM MAS or similar platforms.

Required skills

• IBM Maximo / IBM MAS (or comparable EAM/APM platforms).
• SCADA, GIS, ERP and Field Service Management system integration.
• Reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA/FMEA) and asset health indexing.
