Automation & Observability Engineer

About the role

This position is responsible for managing disaster recovery and automation of banking applications using the Ansible Automation Platform. The role focuses on building consistency checks, job templates for test cases and validating disaster‑recovery scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ansible Automation Platform playbooks, roles and collections for Windows, AIX and RHEL environments, as well as databases (MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, Teradata) and middleware (WAS, MQ).
• Create Jinja2‑templated job templates, manage secrets with Ansible Vault and integrate with Git, Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards in ELK and Grafana, and develop Python, Bash/ksh and PowerShell utilities with robust logging, error handling and unit tests.
• Integrate automation with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, implement REST API callbacks, webhooks and coordinate with security teams for SIEM feeds and audit compliance.

Required profile

• 4–8+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Platform, SRE or DevOps roles.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Ansible (playbooks, roles, collections) and scripting in Python, Bash/ksh and PowerShell.
• Solid administration background on Windows Server, AIX and RHEL platforms.
• Proven experience designing ELK and Grafana dashboards and handling log ingestion and parsing.
