Automation & Surveillance Engineer (CNS/ATM)

About the role

The Automation & Surveillance Engineer will lead the design, testing, validation and support of automation and surveillance systems for air traffic management. You will ensure that solutions meet regulatory standards, operational safety requirements and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical proposals for automation and surveillance solutions in response to client RFPs.
• Design and implement systems in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring compliance with ICAO and other aviation regulations.
• Lead system testing, validation and shadow‑mode activities to guarantee readiness for operational use.
• Monitor ongoing regulatory compliance and perform technical adjustments as needed.
• Participate in quality‑assurance processes, system commissioning and design reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR).
• Create detailed project schedules, assign tasks and track milestones.
• Integrate new automation and surveillance systems with existing and future air traffic management infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation automation, surveillance or air traffic management engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO regulations and safety‑critical system standards.
• Ability to manage complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
