Challenge Course Instructor

About the role

As a Challenge Course Instructor at Miraval The Red Sea, you will lead a variety of high‑ and low‑ropes activities, climbing walls and adventure‑based programs that blend physical challenge with mindfulness. You will create safe, inclusive experiences that promote personal growth, teamwork and mental resilience for our adult‑only, all‑inclusive guests.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate high and low ropes courses, climbing walls, obstacle courses and other adventure experiences, providing clear safety instructions and equipment guidance.
• Integrate mindfulness and team‑building techniques into activities to enhance guests’ emotional well‑being.
• Develop and innovate new challenge‑based programs in collaboration with the Fitness & Recreation Manager.
• Conduct safety briefings, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and resort standards.
• Mentor junior instructors and collaborate with other wellness teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience leading ropes or adventure programs in a luxury resort or wellness setting.
• Certification in high/low ropes facilitation or a recognized personal‑trainer accreditation (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, NSCA or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of team‑building strategies, problem‑solving and personal‑growth techniques.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Physical stamina to work at heights and lead outdoor activities.

Required skills

• High/low ropes course facilitation certification.
• Personal‑trainer certifications (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, NSCA).
• Climbing techniques and safe work at heights.
• Use of digital scheduling and guest‑tracking tools.
