Cloud Compute SME Lead – Enterprise Infrastructure

About the role

The Cloud Compute SME Lead will oversee Level 2 support for a multi‑data‑center environment, ensuring stability, performance, and continuity of core IT services. This senior position combines hands‑on technical expertise with leadership of a team responsible for operating, provisioning, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure and hybrid‑cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team that maintains and operates infrastructure components across multiple data centers.
• Manage incident and problem resolution, delivering timely fixes and root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure service fulfillment and provisioning for OS, database, storage, backup, virtualization, networking, and security resources.
• Support and review infrastructure projects to guarantee operational readiness and compliance.
• Provide SME guidance for cloud migration initiatives across Azure, GCP, OCI, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Drive automation and standardisation using Ansible and scripting.
• Support disaster‑recovery planning and execution.
• Lead team development, training, and performance management.

Required profile

• Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Hands‑on expertise in at least one major OS platform (Windows Server, Linux, AIX) and related infrastructure domains.
• Experience with public‑cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, OCI) and container/hybrid environments (Red Hat OpenShift).
• Solid understanding of backup technologies and basic security hardening.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
