Cost Control Engineer

About the role

Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join one of its giga projects in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project finances, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting the project team with accurate financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project costs, commitments, and expenditures.
• Prepare monthly cost reports comparing actual costs against budget and project progress.
• Track direct and indirect costs across multiple projects.
• Prepare and update Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Control change orders, invoices, subcontractor cost records, and commitments.
• Support project teams in improving cost efficiency and commercial performance.
• Coordinate with Site, Procurement, Planning, and Finance teams.
• Develop cost dashboards and reports using ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of experience in construction cost control or cost engineering.
• Strong experience in budget control, cost reporting, forecasting (ETC/EAC), productivity analysis, cash‑flow monitoring, and project financial performance.
• Experience in the Saudi Arabian or GCC construction market is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
