CSSD Technician

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated CSSD Technician to join our sterile processing team. The role involves daily sterilization of reusable medical instruments, handling bio‑hazard materials and ensuring a safe, controlled environment in the Central Sterile Services Department.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor sterilizers, verifying time, temperature and appropriate biological and chemical indicators.
• Inspect, clean and decontaminate instruments and trays, removing visible debris and microorganisms.
• Assemble instrument sets and procedural trays, select suitable packaging materials and ensure integrity of packages until use.
• Maintain detailed monitoring reports and perform quality‑control checks using physical, chemical and biological indicators for steam and plasma sterilization cycles.
• Adhere to infection‑control protocols, identify and report safety or equipment hazards, and follow occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Transport soiled instruments in designated containers and ensure proper size of packaging for each item.

Required profile

• Knowledge of sterilization processes and manufacturer recommendations for instrument re‑use.
• Ability to work in a restricted environment while following strict safety and infection‑control standards.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and validation of sterilization cycles.
