Data Privacy Project Coordinator

About the role

The Data Privacy Project Coordinator will lead and support data privacy, protection and governance initiatives across business, technology, legal and vendor teams. The role ensures project activities are tracked, risks are mitigated and executive stakeholders receive clear, actionable updates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate privacy, data protection and governance projects, maintaining plans, schedules, risk registers and action trackers.
• Facilitate communication and alignment among business units, IT, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, vendors and external consultants.
• Monitor milestones, dependencies, risks and issues, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
• Support privacy activities such as data mapping, classification, ROPA, DPIAs, DSARs, consent management and privacy assessments.
• Track privacy incidents, non‑compliant processing, vendor gaps and remediation plans, preparing executive dashboards and committee packs.
• Escalate unresolved risks with recommendations and ensure audit‑ready documentation for regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, law, compliance, cybersecurity, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in privacy, data protection or governance projects.
• Proven experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing third‑party vendors.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to present reports to executive committees.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate legal and technical matters clearly.
