Director of Corporate Development

About the role

The Director of Corporate Development will own the organisation’s inorganic growth strategy and drive long‑term expansion through acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures and major commercial partnerships. Reporting to the CFO, you will operate in a fully remote, flexible environment with high autonomy and direct exposure to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of acquisition opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
• Apply a consistent screening and scoring methodology covering strategic fit, financial returns, technology, integration complexity and risk.
• Prepare concise opportunity assessments, valuation, scenario and sensitivity models, and synergy analyses.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence, including financial, legal, technology and operational reviews.
• Lead transaction structuring, negotiations and preparation of board‑level investment materials.
• Track completed transactions against original theses, reporting integration costs, realized synergies and performance variances.
• Develop and manage transaction and integration budgets.

Required profile

• Senior corporate development professional with a proven track record of leading full acquisition lifecycles.
• Strong analytical discipline combined with sound commercial judgment and a low‑ego, execution‑oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working remotely with significant autonomy and influencing strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations to senior leadership and boards.
