Economics Subject Tutor (Part‑time)

About the role

English Path is seeking an experienced Economics Subject Tutor to join its academic pathway programmes. The role is part‑time (10 hours per week) and based on‑site, supporting international students preparing for undergraduate studies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, interactive economics lessons aligned with programme outcomes.
• Develop students’ subject knowledge, critical thinking, problem‑solving and independent learning skills.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that meets diverse learning needs.
• Set, assess and provide constructive feedback on assignments in line with programme criteria.
• Support students in adapting to higher‑education expectations and academic skills.
• Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to quality‑assurance processes.
• Participate in training, team meetings, teaching workshops and academic planning.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification (Master’s) in Economics or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience, preferably within a Western‑style curriculum.
• Understanding of higher‑education expectations and the needs of international students.
• Experience in further or higher education in an international context.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching tools and virtual learning environments (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas).
• Competence in the effective use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT).
