Energy Market & Economic Analysis Expert

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a pool of qualified Energy Market & Economic Analysis Experts to support the EU‑MENA Clean Tech Cooperation project. Selected experts will be mobilised on a short‑term, on‑demand basis to provide specialised economic and market expertise for clean‑energy initiatives across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct energy market, economic and sector analyses.
• Assess electricity market structures, pricing mechanisms and emerging trends.
• Perform demand, supply and market‑potential assessments for clean technologies.
• Support energy market modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Evaluate the economic viability and competitiveness of renewable and clean‑technology solutions.
• Prepare cost‑benefit, socioeconomic and market impact studies.
• Analyse regulatory and market barriers to clean‑technology deployment.
• Draft market studies, analytical reports, policy briefs and investment assessments.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, energy economics, finance, engineering, energy studies or a related discipline.
• Proven professional experience in energy market analysis, economic analysis or energy‑sector modelling.
• Experience with renewable energy, electricity markets, energy transition and/or clean technologies.
• Professional experience in MENA energy markets is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EU institutions, international financial institutions or donor‑funded energy programmes is an advantage.
