About the role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join a partner company operating globally. The role involves contributing to products used by millions, spanning publishing, e-commerce, social platforms, and other open‑web experiences. Work is fully distributed, collaborating across borders and time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high‑quality software across a broad product ecosystem.
• Solve complex technical problems through debugging, investigation, and thoughtful engineering decisions.
• Work across multiple layers of the technology stack, considering performance, maintainability, reliability, and user experience.
• Contribute to backend and frontend systems that support high traffic, large datasets, and complex interactions.
• Participate in frequent production deployments using continuous integration, peer code review, and automated testing.
• Collaborate openly with engineers and cross‑functional teams through global communication channels.
• Contribute to open‑source projects and community‑driven engineering practices.
• Evaluate technical trade‑offs, including tools, frameworks, and architectural choices.
• Apply modern development approaches, including AI‑assisted tools where they add value.

Required profile

• Proven professional experience as a software engineer delivering production‑quality software.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and experience handling complex, high‑scale systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully distributed, collaborative environment.
