Facilities Management Engineer – FM Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Management Engineer will lead the technical handover of university facilities, ensuring all building systems are fully operational and compliant before acceptance. This role bridges construction and operations, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver a seamless transition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical handover of university facilities from contractors and consultants.
• Attend, witness, and verify all Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for MEP systems.
• Review and validate handover documentation such as As‑Built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, test reports, and asset registers.
• Ensure all MEP systems meet project specifications and close punch‑list items.
• Conduct technical inspections and recommend acceptance or rejection based on requirements.
• Prepare handover status reports and monitor progress until final acceptance.
• Support the Facilities Management team in establishing preventive maintenance plans and asset data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Facilities Management, Operations & Maintenance, or building projects.
• Proven experience in handover of facilities and in Testing & Commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices for building commissioning.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
