Forward Deployed Engineer – Enterprise Solutions (Riyadh)

About the role

Telnyx is building a local Enterprise Sales Pod in Riyadh, pairing an Enterprise Account Executive with a Forward Deployed Engineer to grow the Telnyx enterprise business in Saudi Arabia. The engineer embeds with enterprise customers to design, prototype and launch production‑grade communication and AI solutions on Telnyx’s global network.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand communication workflows, AI use cases and integration challenges.
• Design and deploy custom implementations such as AI voice assistants, WebRTC, and LLM‑powered services using Telnyx APIs (Voice, Messaging, Fax, Wireless).
• Run open‑weight LLMs or hosted inference models in customer environments and manage model routing, cost tracking and observability.
• Implement production‑grade observability (metrics, logs, traces) with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry and ELK.
• Lead proof‑of‑concepts, pilots and production launches from white‑board design to go‑live, and remain engaged until solutions are stable.

Required profile

• CS degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of building and shipping production software.
• Hands‑on experience deploying containerised services on Kubernetes and operating high‑concurrency systems (Kafka, message queues).
• Proven ability to run discovery, architecture and production go‑live activities directly with customer engineering teams.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, able to present technical solutions to both engineers and executives.

• Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Graylog, ELK.
• Event‑driven systems: Kafka, message queues.
• Telecom and real‑time communications: SIP, WebRTC, voice/messaging APIs.
• LLM integration: LiteLLM, OpenAI‑compatible APIs, model routing and cost governance.
