Go/Golang Developer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Go/Golang developer to join a confidential research team working on next‑generation AI coding tools. This part‑time, remote contract position focuses on building and testing high‑performance backend services while evaluating early‑stage AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement REST and GraphQL endpoints using a modern Go stack.
• Perform rigorous data validation, comprehensive error handling, and complex debugging.
• Execute database migrations and optimise performance for high‑throughput workloads.
• Test and evaluate alpha AI coding models (Cursor) during intensive 4‑day testing bursts.
• Document incidents, bugs, edge cases and provide annotated screenshots.
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack, delivering real‑time feedback.
• Complete structured surveys on model usability after each testing session.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Go/Golang development experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for rapid prototyping, technical exploration, and hands‑on coding.
• Ability to produce thorough documentation without exposing confidential information.
