HCIS Consultant

About the role

The HCIS Consultant will lead compliance activities for the High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) across all project phases, from risk assessment to final hand‑over. You will work closely with clients, contractors and HCIS officials to secure approval for critical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, threat analysis and Stage 1 Security Risk Assessments, prepare reports and obtain HCIS approval.
• Develop Stage 2 security design documentation, including concept layouts, detailed system designs, BOQs and compliance matrices.
• Review contractors’ shop drawings, material submittals and method statements for HCIS compliance during construction.
• Perform field audits, provide compliance reports and resolve non‑conformities.
• Attend pre‑final and final inspections, review as‑built drawings and commissioning reports, and compile the final compliance package.
• Maintain an archive of all HCIS submissions, monitor directive updates and provide internal training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security, Electrical or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in physical security systems and HCIS compliance (Stages 1‑4).
• Proven experience on critical‑infrastructure projects for Aramco, SEC, SABIC or similar.
• Strong analytical, documentation and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Physical security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection).
• HCIS directives knowledge and compliance management.
• Security risk assessment and security design expertise.
• Project management (PMP preferred) and ISO 27001 awareness.
• Relevant certifications (HCIS‑approved consultant, ASIS CPP/PSP).
