Intellectual Property Expert – Saudi Arabia

About the role

EVA Pharma is seeking a passionate Intellectual Property Expert to support its mission of improving health and well‑being in Saudi Arabia. The role will focus on freedom‑to‑operate (FTO) analyses, patent risk assessment, and ensuring that all product registrations meet IP requirements for regulatory submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough FTO analyses and patent landscape reviews for potential generic product candidates before development and launch.
• Identify, assess, and quantify IP risks linked to New Drug Applications (NDAs) and Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) submissions.
• Provide clear, risk‑weighted recommendations to Portfolio Management, R&D, and Business Development on product selection and development strategies.
• Draft formal FTO opinions and manage supporting documentation for business decisions.
• Develop and execute strategies to challenge weak or invalid patents through opposition procedures.
• Ensure all Saudi product registrations are complete from an IP perspective for regulatory filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• A law degree and/or a specialized qualification in Intellectual Property law is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in an IP role, preferably within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
