Internal Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead our internal audit function for a publicly listed retail organization. The role ensures robust corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a risk‑based internal audit plan covering retail operations, finance, supply chain, logistics and IT systems.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks and compliance with IFRS and stock‑exchange regulations.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to the Audit Committee, Board of Directors and senior leadership.
• Oversee fraud risk assessments, forensic investigations and special audits as needed.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulators to streamline audit processes.
• Integrate audit technology and data‑analytics tools to enhance audit efficiency.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing audit team, including succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (MBA or Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA or CISA.
• Minimum 8 years of audit experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in retail, FMCG or consumer‑focused sectors is strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, internal audit standards and public‑company regulatory requirements.
