IT Availability & Disaster Recovery Manager

About the role

DXC Technology is looking for an IT Availability & Disaster Recovery Manager to lead service availability and disaster‑recovery readiness across a large enterprise environment. The role involves maintaining recovery plans, coordinating tests, measuring performance and working with technical teams to mitigate resilience risks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain approved disaster‑recovery plans and run‑books for critical services and coordinate scheduled DR tests with infrastructure, storage, database and application teams.
• Define test objectives, document results, track corrective actions and measure recovery time (RTO) and recovery point (RPO) objectives against targets.
• Monitor service availability, produce reports on incidents, root causes, trends and drive improvement actions.
• Identify single points of failure, maintain a register of continuity and availability risks and recommend resilience improvements.
• Keep DR documentation current, support audits by providing evidence of planning, testing and control effectiveness.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience in IT service management or infrastructure operations, including at least 3 years in disaster recovery, IT service continuity or availability management.
• Proven ability to coordinate enterprise‑wide DR plans and tests across multiple technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of RTO, RPO, failover testing and resilience risk assessment.
• Working knowledge of ITIL 4 availability management and IT service continuity practices; ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
