Laundry Supervisor

About the role

The Laundry Supervisor ensures the efficient operation of the hotel’s laundry department, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service for all guest and staff linen needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily and monthly inventories of uniforms, linens, and laundry supplies.
• Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to management.
• Train and coach staff on laundry procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Verify that laundry requests from all departments are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, inspecting items for damage.
• Assist management with hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee counseling.
• Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and cost savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant laundry or housekeeping experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb and moving in confined spaces.
