Lead Electrical Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical works and ensure compliance with contract documents and procedures. The role involves technical leadership, coordination with subcontractors, and support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor electrical works for conformance with contract specifications and procedural manuals.
• Review, approve, and process all ELV and IT technical submittals.
• Prepare preliminary responses to RFIs related to electrical scope.
• Coordinate and supervise pre‑installation electrical activities.
• Evaluate contractor change‑order proposals and advise the Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Liaise with sub‑consultants and assist in reviewing contractor claims and project records.
• Inspect completed works, oversee testing, commissioning, and hand‑over processes.
• Compile sign‑off packages for completed electrical works.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 14 years of experience in electrical/ELV engineering, including 3‑5 years in construction administration in the Middle East.
• Strong technical background in electrical works and familiarity with authority requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to review and comment on project documentation.
