Lead Field Engineer - Civil

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Field Engineer – Civil to supervise and monitor civil construction activities on a major development project in Riyadh. Reporting to the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager, you will ensure that all works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and health‑and‑safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day civil construction activities and verify compliance with contract documents.
• Conduct regular site inspections of excavation, foundations, concrete works, roads, utilities and drainage.
• Monitor contractor performance, progress against schedule and quality of workmanship.
• Review construction drawings, method statements and technical documents, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP engineers and contractors to ensure seamless execution.
• Verify material deliveries and ensure conformity with approved specifications.
• Witness field and laboratory testing, and oversee QA/QC procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports, daily progress records and support progress reporting for payment certification.
• Assist in reviewing RFIs, technical queries and field change requests.
• Participate in project meetings, site walks and punch‑list activities during close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in civil construction and site supervision.
• At least 5 years of experience in a field engineering role on large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
