Lead Materials Planner – Drilling Services

About the role

As a Lead Materials Planner for Drilling Services, you will ensure the timely flow of materials from launch to customer delivery. You will work closely with sales, operations, and manufacturing teams to translate demand forecasts into actionable orders and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional sales and operations to create 12‑18 month regional forecasts and global forecasts.
• Convert demand plans into physical orders and align them with business trends.
• Analyze incoming demand, identify order exceptions, and propose inventory utilization opportunities.
• Plan and schedule order timelines to meet customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
• Prioritize delivery dates with product line, sales, and service delivery teams.
• Perform material management analyses such as statistical consumption, aged inventory, in‑transit material, and safety stock monitoring.
• Monitor safety stock and aging inventory, working with regions and plants to address variances.
• Support product life‑cycle management for new and obsolete items within the S&OP process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in inventory management.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in order management.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in inventory optimization and management.
