Lead Solution Architect – Integration Airport

About the role

The Lead Solution Architect – Integration will own and evolve the integration architecture that connects the entire airport ecosystem, including airlines, ground handlers, government agencies, retail partners and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Chief Architect, you will work in a hybrid setting with occasional travel to airport sites to ensure seamless, secure and resilient data flows.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain integration architecture, patterns and standards (APIs, ESB/iPaaS, messaging, event‑driven, streaming).
• Design interface specifications and API contracts for airport operational systems and external partners, adhering to industry standards such as IATA and A‑CDM.
• Ensure high availability, throughput, error handling and fail‑over mechanisms for all integration flows.
• Embed security and data‑protection controls into integration designs and define monitoring, logging and observability practices.
• Lead, mentor and govern a team of integration architects, overseeing quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to estimate effort, plan releases and manage risks across the integration domain.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large‑scale, multi‑system integration programmes.
• Strong knowledge of aviation integration standards and 24/7 mission‑critical environments.
• Proven leadership and communication skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
