Legal Counsel

About the role

The Legal Counsel is a senior executive responsible for overseeing all legal matters that affect the company's operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and supporting the Executive Leadership Team and Board, the role ensures compliance with Saudi Arabian and international laws.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to the CEO, executive team, and Board on corporate, regulatory, and governance issues.
• Lead incorporation, regulatory filings, and government registrations for the company.
• Develop and maintain corporate governance frameworks, Board procedures, and Delegation of Authority structures.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, including venue operations, service‑level, licensing, and supplier agreements.
• Maintain contract templates, trackers, and a centralized repository.
• Advise on partnerships, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, technology, IP, and data protection matters.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi labor, commercial, data protection, and sector‑specific regulations.
• Monitor legislative changes and liaise with regulators and external counsel.
• Identify legal risks, manage disputes and litigation, and oversee insurance and risk mitigation.
• Support HR on employment contracts, Saudization (Nitaqat), and labor law compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership and boards on complex legal and governance matters.
• Experience in the sports, venues, or entertainment sector is highly valued.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi Arabian corporate and labor law.
