Maintenance Planning Manager (Refinery)

About the role

The Maintenance Planning Manager will oversee all planning and scheduling activities for routine maintenance across the refinery’s operational areas. This includes preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with the plant’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the refinery’s maintenance planning section, providing technical information and solutions.
• Develop and maintain long‑term maintenance plans covering preventive, corrective and predictive activities.
• Utilise a CMMS to schedule work, monitor data, and generate performance reports.
• Prepare inputs for the plant maintenance budget and review actual versus budgeted expenditures.
• Produce monthly reports on work plans, completed major activities and present them in maintenance meetings.
• Track and report on planning KPIs, ensuring targets are met.
• Coordinate manpower planning and collaborate with operations, services and corporate maintenance teams to resolve planning issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in refinery maintenance planning.
• Proven leadership and supervision skills in a large, multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical judgment under pressure and ability to solve problems.
• Strategic thinking and openness to new ideas.
