Mechanical Superintendent

About the role

The Mechanical Superintendent will oversee all mechanical construction activities on site in Riyadh, reporting directly to the Construction Manager. The role involves coordinating temporary site setups, managing labour forecasts, and ensuring smooth execution of mechanical works in line with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary site setups and daily site activities as directed by the Construction Manager.
• Prepare, review and manage labour forecasts to match the scope of work.
• Identify and report any impediments such as access, material or equipment issues.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and communicate any delays.
• Maintain a daily log of activities based on the 2‑week look‑ahead programme.
• Control material issuance, documentation and return of excess stock.
• Liaise with the client’s construction discipline team to ensure proper coordination.
• Ensure site cleanliness, waste disposal and environmental protection, escalating housekeeping issues.
• Supervise and coordinate assigned subcontractors to meet JEG and project standards.
• Verify that all site documentation is the latest issued‑for‑construction revision.
• Escalate design or execution issues to the Construction Manager.
• Track progress, identify schedule risks and provide updates.
• Coordinate material take‑off top‑ups and BIM‑related requirements.
• Enforce EHS and QA/QC procedures on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in mechanical construction supervision.
• Ability to report to and collaborate with the Construction Manager.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to site safety and environmental standards.
