About the role
The Microbiologist will conduct quality control microbiology testing on raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products, as well as purified water, and perform environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with Nestlé’s standards. The role involves preparing reagents, operating laboratory instruments, documenting results, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
Key responsibilities
- Perform in‑house microbiological testing on raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products according to SOPs and approved protocols.
- Prepare standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analysis.
- Accurately record observations, review data and release inspection lots in the material management system.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring reliability through proper maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Lead continuous‑improvement activities using lean principles to streamline laboratory processes.
- Handle paperwork such as reports and receiving checks according to specifications.
- Report abnormalities, notify quality deviations and implement immediate corrective actions while adhering to Nestlé SHE rules.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related field.
- More than 1 year of experience in a similar microbiology position.
