Neurology Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Neurology Consultant to deliver evidence‑based neurological care across virtual and integrated settings. The role combines direct patient management with clinical leadership to enhance our Neurology service line at Bupa CareConnect.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including history taking, physical examination and review of diagnostic investigations.
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as headache disorders, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, movement disorders, neuropathies, demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases.
• Interpret laboratory results, neuroimaging (MRI, CT) and electrophysiological studies (EEG, NCS/EMG) to inform treatment plans.
• Develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment and follow‑up plans and ensure timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Provide clinical leadership, contribute to pathways, protocols and SOPs, and support operational planning for both virtual and onsite services.
• Evaluate and optimise tele‑neurology workflows and virtual care processes.
• Ensure delivery of safe, patient‑centred care in line with CBAHI, JCI and other accreditation standards.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, peer review and incident management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate with referring physicians and provide education to healthcare providers.

Required profile

• Medical degree in Neurology with board certification or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of neurological disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive service development.
• Familiarity with accreditation requirements such as CBAHI and JCI.
• Strong clinical documentation skills and commitment to patient safety.
